The Overdue Boba Update

See, I admit it. Readily. So it's taken me over a week to update Flamboba. Good god, what has the world come to? How have you all coped? Did I lose my membership to the Mommy Blogger Club?

I hope not, because have I got the cutest Boba stories for you to enjoy today!

Unfortunately, there's not much in the way of photos, however, as I've been supremely lazy with my camera-duties. Thank goodness phones these days take pictures, because this would be a naked, text-only post, and let's face it, those posts do only half the job of "blogging" in the truest sense!

(I'm sure I just pissed off a fellow Mommy-Blogger! My membership has TOTALLY been revoked!)

Onward with the stories...

• One of Boba's favorite sayings is "Ee-ai-ee-ai?" This refers to the "Ee-ai-ee-ai-oh" chorus in that all-time favorite tune, "Old MacDonald Had a Farm". SHE CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS DAMN SONG. Every morning, she comes downstairs and stands in front of the TV repeating, "Ee-ai-ee-ai?", as her way of begging me to put the "Baby MacDonald" DVD in the player. When we're playing in her room, she stands by the CD player and repeats it over and over again until I hit track 13 on her Baby Einstein Music Box CD, which of course is her beloved song. Then she dances. And oh my god, this is the reason why we have kids. She bounces on her knees, stamps her feet, and turns in circles. So in case you're wondering why I haven't shot myself in the head yet after hearing "Old MacDonald" 6,517 times, THAT is why. Because to watch Boba dancing is CUTENESS PERSONIFIED.
• Her next-favorite thing to say to me is "Bab'm?" It's her word for "Food", which, if you can remember from this post, used to be "Dabin". Well, now it's evolved into "Bab'm". Don't ask me why. There are several meanings to "Bab'm", however, and though it's basic meaning is "Food", it can also mean "Can we go to the kitchen?" Or, "Can we go to the kitchen which is next to the TV room?" Or, "Can we go to the kitchen which is next to the TV room so I can listen to my 24th round of ee-ai-ee-ai?" Yes, the child is making connections. And as annoying as it is to bring her downstairs for the umpteenth time, only to be demanded "Ee-ai-ee-ai? Ee-ai-ee-ai?", all she has to do is dance and then I'm just putty.
• She sings the alphabet song! Only she doesn't actually say the letters. She just repeats the long e vowel sound several times, but to the same rhythm as the song. So it sounds like this: "Ee. Ee. Ee. Ee. Ee. Ee. EEEE." So adorable.
• She now can say "Banana." Or, at least, a version of "Banana". A version that sounds a lot like "Nnnnnya."
• She also has a version of "Thank you" when you give her something, which is "Tenk."
• If she wants more of something, be it food (bab'm) or a book, she says "Moh."
• And of course, she still says "Bye", "Dog", and "Ball" fairly regularly.

Yep, she's still cute as ever, and getting cuter every day. Maybe later this week I'll have a chance to take some new photos. And maybe one of these days I'll even find a way to post a video of her dancing. It really is one of the most adorable things you'll ever see! (And I'm SO not biased.)
