Like Mother, Like Daughter

I got this T-shirt from Babies R Us for $5 last week, and I was SO excited! But that's not the reason for the title of this post. The reason is the book she's holding and "reading". Unfortunately I couldn't get a photo of the title page while she had it in her hands, so the last shot will have to do. I haven't had much opportunity to chase Boba around with a camera, but today I just couldn't resist. What's funny is that Jason has been in L.A. for an audition since last night, so it was all me this morning. She didn't seem to mind; in fact, I think she knows when it's picture time! Daddy has her splashed all over his desktop on his Mac in our bedroom, and every time she sees it she points to herself excitedly. So yes, she is seeming to understand the whole picture thing. I'm not sure if I should be delighted or scared.

"Yes, I'm just going to take a moment to peruse this lovely anthology..."

"Must you STARE at me so much with that thing in your face?"

"Oh, a CLOSE-UP? Well, most certainly!"

"Enough with the paparazzi. I really must read this book..."

"....right on top of this suitcase that Daddy hasn't put away yet."

(You see? You see?? The book is "Women Playwrights: The Best Plays of 2001".)

The girl is truly mine!

OK, can she be any MORE grownup?

That little tie-dye shirt is fabulous! (It's amazing that little girls seem to have wardrobes five times the size of little boys-at least that's the case for Sofia and Joaquin). I just LOVE little outfits for Sofia. And, Joaquin? Poor thing's lucky if he gets a new pair of pants after a growth spurt. (Acutally, because he chooses his own outfits each day, he tends to wear the same 2 shirts-good thing we do laundry each night!)
